Mezzo-soprano Meagan Martin and pianist Victoria Kirsch present a musical celebration of the beloved British author Jane Austen, who was born on December 16, 1775. A highlight of the program will be selections from “Marianne Dashwood: Songs of Love and Misery,” a song cycle by composer Aferdian and librettist Marella Martin Koch that is inspired by one of the sisters at the heart of Austen’s first published novel, Sense and Sensibility. The program will also feature selected Lieder by Franz Schubert and musical themes from film adaptations of Jane Austen's works. Learn more here.
